How we help

The centre provides support for children, families, young people and vulnerable adults from across Portsmouth and the surrounding area going through difficult times and in extreme poverty.

Our services include a day nursery, tenancy and family support, life skills training and a holiday play scheme.

The Roberts Centre provides safe Family Time in Portsmouth to introduce or re-introduce children and their non-resident parents or other family members.

TASS (Temporary Accommodation Support Service)

We support families living in Portsmouth City Council temporary accommodation to develop the skills and confidence needed to successfully move into and sustain a permanent home. Our team works closely with families to improve tenancy readiness by providing guidance on budgeting, money management, and maintaining their temporary accommodation.

ITSS (Intensive Tenancy Support Service)

The Intensive Tenancy Support Service (ITSS) works with tenants of Gosport Borough Council to help them successfully sustain their tenancy and maintain stable housing. This essential, person-centred service provides intensive support to address issues that may be affecting a tenant’s ability to manage their home.

Life Skills

The Life Skills Project (LSP) supports young people aged 16–26 as they prepare for independent adulthood.

The programme empowers them to make informed choices, build resilience and take greater control of their lives.

Raise

RAISE is a unique family support service in Gosport designed to work with families when Children’s Social Care involvement is coming to an end. Our aim is to help families maintain positive progress, build resilience, and prevent the need for further social care intervention.
